Manuscript Preparation Standards

All book manuscripts must meet the following requirements before formal peer review:

  1. Complete, structurally coherent book manuscript with full chapters, conclusions, and references.
  2. Professional academic English with accurate grammar, terminology, and logical argumentation.
  3. Consistent formatting for headings, tables, figures, formulas, and citations.
  4. Fully anonymized manuscript for double-blind peer review (remove all author and institutional information).
  5. Complete and standardized reference list following mainstream academic styles.
  6. Full declaration of funding sources, ethical compliance, and conflict of interest (if applicable).

Book Submission Process

  1. Register and log in to the Prime Academic Press OMP submission system.
  2. Select the corresponding book series and submit your full manuscript.
  3. Complete book metadata: title, abstract, keywords, author list, and affiliations.
  4. Upload anonymized manuscript, figures, tables, and supplementary materials.
  5. Complete ethical declarations, funding statements, and competing interest disclosures.
  6. Confirm open access license terms and finalize submission.

Peer Review & Book Publication Workflow

  • Editorial Pre-Screening: Verify manuscript completeness, scope suitability, and formatting compliance.
  • Double-Blind Peer Review: At least two independent international experts evaluate academic originality, rigor, and contribution.
  • Author Revision: Authors revise and improve the manuscript based on official review comments.
  • Final Editorial Decision: Accept, revise, or reject based on review reports and revised manuscript quality.

Book Processing Charge (BPC)

BPC is tiered based on research discipline, manuscript length, number of tables, figures, color illustrations and customized production requirements. All charges cover peer review, professional editing, typesetting, DOI registration, digital preservation and permanent open access release. No submission fees, hidden costs or extra charges for basic page volume.

Standard Tier

Applicable to humanities, social sciences and basic theoretical works; black & white illustrations; total pages ≤ 300

Advanced Tier

Applicable to general engineering and applied sciences; limited color figures & formulas; total pages between 301 and 500

Premium Tier

Applicable to aerospace, high-precision engineering and data-intensive research; large volume, massive color diagrams, simulation charts and complex equations; customized layout & professional index

Publication Ethics & Declarations

  • All submitted book manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by any other publishing press.
  • All competing interests must be fully and transparently declared.
  • All funding sources supporting the book research must be clearly stated.
  • Research involving human participants, experiments, or sensitive data must provide valid ethical approval documents.
  • All research data and related materials must be available upon reasonable academic request.

Author FAQ

Do authors retain full copyright of their published books?

Yes. Authors permanently retain full copyright of their monographs and book chapters under the CC BY 4.0 license.

Can I publish my book preprint version elsewhere?

Preprint sharing is permitted and encouraged. Please link the final published book DOI after official publication.

How long does the full book publishing process take?
