Article Processing Charges (APC)

AI Engineering and Applications (AIEA) is a gold open access journal. All published articles are freely available online. To support editorial and production services, the journal applies one transparent Article Processing Charge (APC) for accepted manuscripts.

Current Pricing

Launch Policy: Volumes 1-3 (2026-2027) - USD 490 APC

No submission fee, no review fee, and no publication fee for manuscripts submitted and accepted during Volumes 1-3.

Future APC rates may be adjusted according to journal development and operating costs. Any update will be announced in advance on the journal website. The APC policy in effect at the time of submission will apply.

  • Editorial management and peer review administration
  • Production services, including copyediting and typesetting
  • Plagiarism screening and publication integrity checks
  • DOI registration and metadata processing
  • Online hosting and long-term access
  • Open access publication under CC BY 4.0

Waivers and Discounts

AIEA supports equitable publishing. Full or partial APC waivers may be considered in justified cases.

  • Waiver requests are reviewed case by case
  • Waiver decisions are independent from editorial decisions
  • Authors should apply after acceptance and before payment
