About the Journal
Global Governance & Sustainable Development (GGSD) is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research on global governance mechanisms and their role in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our Mission
GGSD aims to bridge the gap between academic research and policy practice by providing a premier platform for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to exchange cutting-edge insights on the complex interactions between global governance systems and sustainable development.
We publish high-quality original research articles, comprehensive review papers, policy briefs, and case studies that address the most pressing global challenges of the 21st century. Our journal is committed to promoting inclusive, equitable, and evidence-based solutions for a sustainable future.
Aims & Scope
GGSD welcomes interdisciplinary contributions from all fields related to global governance and sustainable development. We particularly encourage submissions that address the following thematic areas:
Climate Governance
International climate agreements, carbon markets, climate finance, just transition, and climate adaptation policies
Global Health Governance
Pandemic response, global health equity, WHO reform, health systems strengthening, and universal health coverage
Sustainable Development Goals
SDG implementation, monitoring frameworks, multi-stakeholder partnerships, and local governance practices
International Institutions
UN system reform, multilateralism, regional organizations, and global economic governance
Environmental Governance
Biodiversity conservation, ocean governance, circular economy, and natural resource management

GGSD is a fully open access journal. All articles are immediately available to read, download, and share upon publication, without any subscription barriers or access restrictions.
Authors retain full copyright of their work, and all articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY). This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.
