Welcome to Airspace Science & Engineering — the premier open access journal dedicated to advancing airspace management, aerospace engineering, and sustainable aviation systems. We invite original, high-quality submissions from researchers, engineers, and practitioners worldwide.


Article Processing Charges (APC)

To support our open access mission, we charge a modest, transparent APC for accepted manuscripts. This fee covers peer review management, professional editing, digital production, long-term preservation, and global free access.

Launch Special Offer: $490 USD $790 USD

Valid for all manuscripts submitted and accepted before December 31, 2026

No submission fees | No page charges | No color figure charges | No hidden fees

Regular Price: After December 31, 2026, the standard APC will revert to $790 USD per accepted manuscript.

Original Research Articles
Full-length reports of original theoretical or experimental research (6-12 pages).
Review Papers
Comprehensive critical surveys of emerging topics (10-20 pages).
Short Communications
Concise reports of novel findings or technical notes (3-5 pages).

Submission Guidelines

  1. All submissions must be made through our online submission system.
  2. Manuscripts must be written in English and follow our author template (Word and LaTeX formats available for download).
  3. All authors must have an ORCID iD and include it in their submission profile.
  4. Manuscripts must not be under review elsewhere or previously published in any form.
  5. Preprints are allowed and encouraged; please include the preprint DOI in your submission cover letter.

Peer Review Process

Airspace Science & Engineering operates a rigorous double-blind peer review process. All manuscripts are initially screened by the editorial office for scope and quality. Eligible submissions are then sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field.

Typical review timeline:

  • Initial editorial decision: 7 business days
  • First review round: 28 calendar days
  • Final decision after revision: 14 calendar days
  • Online publication: 7 business days after acceptance

Ethics & Publication Policy

We adhere strictly to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. All submissions must comply with our policies on:

All articles published in Airspace Science & Engineering are released under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY). This allows anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, and build upon the work, provided the original authors and source are properly credited.

Authors retain full copyright of their work and grant the journal a non-exclusive right to publish the original version.
